Extraction Method: Steam distilled from leaves
Aromatic Scent: Lemony and herbaceous
Uses: Lemongrass gives Ivory soap its familiar scent. Used in cosmetics and facial washes. Its antibacterial and antifungal properties have been used for skin infections. A good insect repellent and attacks fungi by discouraging mildew and mold growth.
Companion Oils: Cedarwood, eucalyptus, jasmine, lavender, tea tree and rosemary.
